for those of you (myself included) that got the new update (preview program thingie)what are ur thoughts on it?i like iti dont think ill use any of the new features much, but being able to is awesomeur thoughts on the new update?
i think its cool. last fm works very well. every thing i searched for was there. im not into twitter or facebook thou.ur thoughts on the new update?
Sky tv thing for the uk is good
Not in the preview program...but I really like using Facebook and Twitter so I'm sure I will use it occasionally. But with a desktop and laptop, I couldn't see myself running to my Xbox to update my Twitter or check Facebook rather than going to a PC.
I got the update last night and it's decent. The Facebook and Twitter functions are kinda limited, if a friend links to a website your essentially screwed, because there is no web browser on the 360, but it's not that big of a deal, since I do most of my Facebook/Twitter from my phone or computer.
The part that I am excited about is the Zune Marketplace and the 1080p streaming. I did the test and I am ''approved'' for 1080p streaming, but I've yet to actually rent anything. Perhaps on the weekend. The only crappy part, which I'm pretty sure comes down to the region I'm in the movie selection, even worse is the TV selection, The Hills, Viva La Bam and Jackass. Craptastic.
None of them interest me that much except for the Last.fm one, but any new features are a plus as long as M$ doesn't plan on bumping up the subscription rate.
Facebook Is Neat And I 'll Probably Be Using It Ocasionally...Last.Fm Is Nice...And I Don't Use Twitter. Not Bad For An Update.
accepted to the preview but my system hasnt updated yet, will add more when it does, but im looking forward to last.fm and facebook, now i wont have to leave my xbox to see what my friends are up to.
I heard you had to be 18 or over to access this stuff? If that's true it's utter sh*t. I'm not yet 18 but my parents gave up limiting my settings a long time ago. It's not such a problem for me, it will only take a couple of seconds to make my account into a full adult one with an email change. but I'm sure there are plenty of kids who want to use last fm, facebook and all that too, but their parents want to keep an eye on them for some reason.
Wow, I need to keep myself more informed... wasn't even aware they had started taking applications for this preview. I previewed the last update... whish I would have got in on this one. When does it launch?
I believe it all launches in November, so it's not that far off.
How do you get the preview?
Facebook was ok for me. Not bad to check up on updates if you're no where near a computer. I just signed up for last.fm last night and really enjoying it so far.

What do you mean by ''approved''? What do you have to do to get it? This is the feature I'm actually looking forward to most in the new update and it would suck if I can't use it.
What update?
Facebook - Not using.
Twitter - Not using.
Last.FM - Not using.
1080p Steaming - Might use.
last.fm I'll probably use, Twitter and Facebook maybe once in a while.
Last.fm is great. I usually come home from work and play music while i change, eat, do some PC stuff, (like this). And last.fm is great for my situation. Facebook is ok. Not great for posting but it's great for checking out everyones pics. Zune Marketplace is ok but really limited to the content right now. Don't care for Twitter at all. The News channel is pretty much worthless since it's very short clips.Overall i like it. I always like options, especially when they're free. But it's all too cluttered. They spread everything around so you're always jumping from one thing to another. They should have made all the apps, like Netflix, Facebook, Zune, Twitter, Last.fm, and gave them a seperate blade. Having them spread all over the dashboard is annoying.

I've heard that some people were having issues with how ''instant'' the streaming is. We shall see.
Facebook is so so but I really like last.fm. I don't care much for twitter and 1080p streaming is meh for me since I don't use the video marketplace.
