Avatar Awards Any Time Soon?

So are these free avatar awards ever coming? The only ones I'm aware of are from 'Splosion Man...I thought all games after August 10th were supposed to have some unlockable awards for your avatar. Now am I just not aware of all the games that have awards available, or is Microsoft/game developers really slow at unrolling this?Avatar Awards Any Time Soon?
People are willing to pay for avatar clothes so why would they release them as rewardsAvatar Awards Any Time Soon?
The way it has been going now with these so-called awards, it doesnt look like its going to happen anytime soon.
Maybe we'll see an influx of new Avatar Awards with the new update next month.
Only idiots pay for avatar clothes and accessories.
I must be an idiot then since i bought a few of them, but I like them

Only retards bash people in an online video game forum for using a service provided by the console manufacturers they choose.
lmao.... ye you have fun with that one.... basically buying anything microsoft provides for you makes you an idiot because the amount of profit they make off of it is ridiculous
looks like you have an xbox live gold membership, you paid the $50 for that I assume? Looks like you also have a psn account, surely you realize you wasted your $50 then.

..........
Yep, only 'Splosion Man so far.I'm not crossing my fingers for them. I really haven't paid any mind to my avatar at all, and except for a few online games like 1 vs. 100, there doesn't seem to be much point to do so.

Yes I do waste 50 bucks a month... however its better than the free service I get from psn because the playstation has a lackluster support for good games.... So ye I waste my money because there is nothing better out there.... although I have been getting into steam lately
So... you fully realize how ironic saying this is?

I dont get what your trying to prove? I just admited to the fact that my love for online gaming makes me spend money on xbox live.... Yes Im aware I could get psn, but ps3 does not have any good games... so I am forced to give into microsofts greed
So what you're saying is that you don't understand the irony of calling people idiots for spending money on something microsoft provides that they're not forced into buying, but paying for a service that's free on other consoles and PC ?

wow.... lol first of all... they are different services.... second of all, pc gaming is only good to a certain extent, plus my laptop is not good enough to support most new titles.... What do you not understand about the fact that paying for clothes on a virtual character that you dont even use for anything is a waste of money!!! like I dont know what else to say

I'm willing to subscribe to XBL because I enjoy playing with people online. There's titles you can play for free online if you have a PC, but I prefer playing on a console. It's silly though, that they offer little digital t-shirts that probably took all of 10 minutes to photoshop a logo on and then charge customers $5.00 in gamer points for it. Is it worth crying over and calling people ''idiots'' over for paying for it? No. But it's annoying that Microsoft develops services to get every penny they can instead of doing it just for the sake of customer satisfaction and developing a loyal fanbase.

Its two completely different points... xbox live is manditory for if you wana play... clothes for your avatar are just retarded...
other than the fact that a lot of the items are overpriced, it's hardly retarded, a little unnecessary yes, but far from retarded. I'm sure if you put your brain to work for a second or two you can come up with a 3 page list of completely and utterly useless crap that you spend money on all the time, and yet you're still willing to come into a public environment and call people idiots for ''wasting their money''.

there's 2 main points here to consider; First, these items don't just randomly pop up on xbox live, there's no computer program that randomly generates these items or how your avatar interacts with them (in the case of props) so someone who MS pays for their time and services has to physically design these items and animations, on those grounds alone it justifies these items having a price tag (albeit like i've said, a lot of the items are pretty severely overpriced),

Second, most of the items are priced less than arcade titles, some are less than indie titles, all are less than movie rentals. Essentially MS is looking to take advantage of and provide a little reward to the myriad of gamers who purchase MS points for a specific reason, whether it be arcade titles, indie titles, movie rentals or whatever else that get the points, get what their looking for and then have a few points leftover afterwards. as soon as you purchase MS points, MS gets paid the full amount that they're going to make from that purchase, so regardless of how many points you use MS already has full gratification from it, so all they're really looking to do is give you an outlet to use the rest of your points that would otherwise probably just gather dust and never get used. So how does this benefit you, as the consumer? well it really does 2 main things for you, it gives you the option to take advantage of the money -you've already given to MS- and it gives you an extra layer of customization for your avatar. Does customizing your avatar do anything? Nope, not really, it lets you add an extra layer of personality to your avatar but thats about it. Does personalizing your avatar (usually) with points you wouldn't spend otherwise make anyone an ''idiot'', Nope, not at all, in fact calling people idiots for utilizing this service probably makes you more of an idiot than them.

So next time your at the corner buying a couple chocolate bars ask yourself ''other than being something i kinda like, does this little snack actually do anything for me?'' the answer is of course, no. So you're either gonna wanna put those bad boys back and call yourself a moron for even considering that purchase, or come to terms with the fact that we're all a little bit wasteful here and there, but if it puts a smile on your face and isn't hurting anyone, how bad can it really be?
I'm amazed that this fine example of pointless internet arguing hasn't been locked yet.
Aww where is dredg when ya need him. BTW the metabolic proccessi involved in breaking down your simple candy bar, all be it chocolate or not, actually cause your body more harm in the long run disturbing fat store patterns and blood flow. So for $1 you are indulging in something that could eventually end up costing you hundreds or thousands. Now you may sayyou'd have to eat a lot of these candy bars to have such problems but remember this, most americans don't stop at 1 and are actually fooled into thinking that a few bite size are better than one king so to you sir i sayI actually have no clue what i'm talking about, but it's fun to sound smart!
