please help mee!

i bought a few weeks ago my second xbox 360(first one broke)and now am trying to get the free 30 day gold trial.when i type in my email and password to windows live id it sais that it doesent link with my gamertag.i dont know what to do , ive loooked at videos to install xbox live but they arent helping, so PLEASE help me.:cry:
