05:30:0905:30:10sequels that dont live up to the glory of their predecessors or are less fun !!! so what game did u like more playing than their sequels .
mine would be max payne imo mp1 was more action packed and brutal than mp2which game did u like better than its se ...
FEAR and Ultimate Alliance come to mind. With FEAR 2, it felt almost like a completely new game, wasn't scary or shocking and I hated the film grain effect on it. For UA, it just came down to the number of characters and certain other mechanics. Can only carry over characters on a harder difficulty, level 60 cap, fusions really weren't needed at all, much shorter game, etc.which game did u like better than its se ...
gears of war.

i did love gears 2, but i've replayed gears 1 a lot more than i did gears 2....

i was slightly disappointed with 2, not sure why.
I enjoyed Condemned 1 much more than Bloodshot nothing other than that lately.

Me too! :-)
Fable, hands down. Didn't have the urge to keep playing as I did with the 1st, which I really enjoyed. I'll get around to it, one day. I second Max Payne too. The original was a memorable classic and it's sequel not so much.
umm... Resi 4 isten times the game Resi 5 is. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but what I really wanted was 10 hours more of Resi 4.Less rambo, more ''HOLY **** I'm running out of ammo and I don't want to waste my rounds cos I dunno what's around that corner or in that room that looks like a hell hole, who know's whjat's gonna jump out at me through that rickety looking door or what's gonna scare the bejesus outta me because I just don't wanna use that last green herb before I find a red one so I can combine them and stop limping and then, if i can stop sweating, try and survive the hordes of ZOMBIES with just a pistol and a shot gun, What the hell are KIJUJU or GANADOS anyway? what the hell was wrong with ZOMBIES?! BoW's and GIANT KILLER PLANTS?!And where thehellIS thatarmour key?! And I sure as hell hope that's NOT chris's blood?! I wish I'd taken that ''lock picking'' class with Jill, Damiit! This is soooo lonely.... I'm sooooo scared and sweaty, and itchy....Saw friend... ugly face... killed him.Itchy... tasty...
Original Metal Gear Solid. Who wants to play as an old Snake or gay looking Raiden?
I enjoyed KOTOR 1 more than 2.
I enjoyed KOTOR 1 more than 2.
Who didn't?
Anything after Combat Evolved was just not up to par, also I liked NBA 2K9 better than NBA 2K10 which isn't really a sequel but you get the point lol.

I like COD2 better than COD3. It doesn't really count but that's all I got.

Good point. :D
Original Metal Gear Solid. Who wants to play as an old Snake or gay looking Raiden?
Thank you, finally someone that agrees with me. Since the original MGS, I haven't seen another action game that actually had a story as complete and engrossing. In my opinion it's the best action game of all time. All the action games today are shooters. MGS is reason it took me awhile get into games like Halo and Gears of War because of their lack of a story. Don't get me wrong both games are great shooters, but just imagine one of them having an engrossing story like MGS. I my opinion that would have of made those games two to three times better than what they are today.
KOTOR 1 was slightly better than KOTOR 2. RE4>RE5. However, unlike movies, I think game sequals are almost universally better than the originals.

I agree. Most of the time game sequels, unlike movies, are better than their predecessors, but there are those cases where the original is the best. Kinda like how Halo CE blows the later incarnations out of the water, but that's just my opinion.

Game sequels are almost always better because at that point, the technology is better, the gameplay and game engine has been refined and past complaints are usually addressed. But if gameplay is tweaked a bit too much and/or some controls are slightly changed, some people just can't accept change from what they are used to, and fickle gamers will tend to hold strong with an original game over a technically superior sequel.

Just try and convince a fan of the first three RE's that RE4 is the best game in the franchise. It won't happen. Many gamers have really great memories of the early titles in a franchise, and when they take a significant turn like RE did, they refuse to excpet that is is a turn for the better.
The first Dead or Alive Xtreme primarily because of it's framerate.
