Closed Beta for preferred users

Has anyone heard of this? Either I am being lied to or I am out of the loop.I was told by my cousin that people that are considered 'preferred' are getting a chance to use M$'s new reward system. I have no idea why I am not preferred- I bought a launch console and I have been on live for 5 years now.Maybe someone out there knows... and if it is real, will someone point me to a news article?Closed Beta for preferred users

lol .... lie... i havn't heard no such thing. the lastest news we have heard about awards from Microsoft is Halo Way point. which is a download on marketplace coming soon. it will tell little storys and screen shots people have taken, anything have to do with halo and such. the way to get awards is doing things in odst and halo 3. so the way point isn't really a game it is a so called info booth lol

Yeah that's what I thought. My cousin is young and I had a feeling his friend is full of it.
