help with bioshock

i just stated it on normal difficulty level.. and i was wandering has anyone else had a really hard time killing the big daddies?? because i am dying a LOT when im battling one of these.. can someone give some advise on how to kill them easyli or something? thnx..im loving this game.. ive never played something quite like it :Dhelp with bioshock
Big Daddies are tough to take down. It's all about being prepared. Make sure you have plenty of first aid kits and eve syringes and as much ammo as you can.



Use armor piercing rounds and grenades and any heavy weaponry you have. Stun him with electricity. Just unleash everything you have at him. It will take a lot out of you to take one down. Just keep moving and firing. Not much other strategy than that.



Most importantly...Save right before you take one on. That way, if you die, you can just reload with all the ammo and health you had without having to restock and find him again.help with bioshock
The Big Daddies are very tough at first. If your having trouble just wait until you get a little further in the game and gain better weapons and plasmids, then go back to the first levels and fight those big boys. You don't have to kill every one when you first encounter them, can always wait, them face them later.

Thats a good comment. There is always the opportunity to go back later on in the game. However, without ADAM, you will likely start to struggle sooner rather than later so dont leave it too long.



My general advice at the start of the game is to use any cameras and turrets to your advantage. You can also use splicers to your advantage. Dont attack the Big Daddy but draw out a splicer. Take him back to the Big Daddy and make sure his ammo hits the Big Daddy. The Big Daddy will react and try and kill him. This gives you time to get at him and he will also be hurt more.



Later in the game I advise you to take the cheaters option and camp. There are a variety of locations where you can hide and he cant get you. Just dart from behind cover and blast and then back again etc. Works!

Call me silly, but I assumed I had to take on the Big Daddies when I saw them. Thanks for the tip, I will keep that in mind when I pop in the disk again. I have yet to finish, but plan to before the sequel next year.
electrocute him n den keep shooting at him with a shotgun....
I use trap bolts with the crossbow so he plows through about 3 of them then I just keep firing electric buck and exploding buck with the shotgun.
