im not sure but i think its comes out 3rd November for gold users and 10th for silver L4D2 demo....
If I remember right people who preorder it get the demo like two weeks early. That might be what you're thinking of.

I think your correct.
October 27th 2009 for people who preodered at gamestop. That's the date for early access. Last year the early access time for the demo was some sort of a tool filter, get in on it its great.
