For me Borderlands has to me one of the top 5 games this generation. This game is simply too much fun to put down. It has everything I love in video games.....Massive area to explore! Character leveling! Loot, loot and more loot! Jump in, jump out online play and above all else.....ITS JUST FREAKING FUN!!! Is it the perfect game? Well no, but judging by what everyone including myself is saying, it is a terrific game by any standard. Much praise to Gearbox for this one and here's hoping for a sequel by 2011!!Oh if there is a sequel, here is my list of wants....deeper character creation..ala Fallout 3/Oblivionlarger skill trees for more specilizationmore vehicle typesan outright multiplayer setup with games like CTF, Deathmatch and the likeCall me crazy, but..
from what I understand, I heard it is a lot like Oblivion/Fallout 3 + Crack Down. Is this true?Call me crazy, but..
Sounds like this game has taken the video game world by surprise. I wouldn't be surprised at all if gearbox has already set up shop for a sequel, possibly go for a series to boot. I've yet to play the game, but it's on my ''to buy list'' for sure. If they do for for such deathmatch types for multiplayer, I'd love to see bots be an option. :p I miss that from the old deathmatch days.
Borderlands is an awesome game. The only thing I would change is stuff that can be addressed in updates or DLC. There are a few bug fixes to be taken care of and adding extras such as vehicles/extra characters/more gun pieces for the random generator to use/raise level cap and add more skills, stuff like that can be done so much better (and more profitably) thru DLC.But yes, it is so far in my opinion, Game of the Year.EDIT:I don't think they're quite ready to leave the first game behind yet as they are working on Zombie DLC right now and their official forums are ablaze with ideas and polls about future DLC. Still, a Borderlands series would be sweet.

I love the game so far, it's kinda slow paced in the beginning but it opens up and really becomes a lot of fun. I like most people would probably like to see a bigger skill tree, and maybe a system that allows players to trade goods with each other. I don't think deathmatch/ctf modes would work in a game like this though.

Calm down buddy.... its just a game.
yep its a great game
C: It's not in my top 5 but it is the best co-op game on the Xbox 360.
I think this game looks really fun. But i'm not gonna pick it up now with MW2 right around the corner. I won't be able to get as much out of it as i want to. And i know some of my friends are thinking the same thing so we're all gonna get it around the same time after we've gone through MW2 to a satisfactory level.
from what I understand, I heard it is a lot like Oblivion/Fallout 3 + Crack Down. Is this true?
1) Take one Call of Duty 4 controls.2) Add a pinch of World of Warcraft like leveing, questing, loot system, and skill trees.3) Sprinkle some Left 4 Dead like constant action.4) Bake with over a million different guns, grenades, class mods, and artifacts at about 360 degrees.5) Finally, let it cool for about an hour. And you've made Borderlands! Congratulations. And remember, Borderlands is even better when shared with friends, that's all for today's show everybody, we'll see you next time.
