Wireless vs wired controller?

Would anyone happen to know what controller is better between the two, I want  a wired controller because for some reason i think my wireless is kinda slow to respond. My original xbox controllers seem to be more precise in halo2 then the wireless controllers does any have both of them?Wireless vs wired controller?
Response should be identical on both wired and wireless - the only thing I've noticed any difference on whatsoever between the two is that force-feedback seems slightly more pronounced on a wired controller.Wireless vs wired controller?
What is force feedback? I always thought it was with the steering wheels when it gets harder to turn as you do a sharper turn.
He probably just means vibration.
It is what you're talking about - it is also the vibration function in the controller.  Pretty much any MS licensed physical response in their controllers, joysticks, steering wheels is licensed under force-feedback.  In this case I was specifically talking about the vibration function seems to be slightly more pronounced in the wired controller - but other than that I think the two work pretty much identically.
I have been using wireless controllers on every system since I started playing video games.  I have never in my life noticed a lag in my contollers.  I am not sure what was wrong with his setup.  He may have gotten some interference from other household items.  I am wireless all the way.  I would suggest making sure that you get one of those recharagable plug and play battery sets. That way you will be able to use the controller wired or wirelessly.
wired it slightly more responsive i think but its not that noticeable. I have got both and personally i prefer the wireless.
Thanks for the replies, I might wait a little to see some more responses.

Supposedly the wireless controller is lighter.
i have 2 wired and 2 wireless, wired are cool because you can use them on your pc , havent noticed any response difference though
Supposedly the wireless controller is lighter.
It definitely isn't. Wired is lighter, doesn't need the battery pack. I have both. I prefer my wired because it is lighter and I am so used to having wired controllers.
i have a wireless and wired controller its good to have both controllers in my opinion because wired doesnt need the  batteries and wireless lets you play where ever but when i game i use my wireless a lot more and just charge it up when my battery is low the wired controller is a good investment too just get what you you want and go with it.
I like the wireless controllers. If you have a problem with batteries just get 2 sets of rechargables.

I prefer them over the newer ones.personally I don't like the mess that comes with wires, but if you're looking to go pro, change to wired, since the response time is bound to be better, even if you don't notice it.
We have two wireless controllers and one wired. Personally I prefer the wireless controllers because it feels much more free and you're not worrying about other people getting their feet caught up in the wires when walking past you. lol, that's one of the things I loved about Nintendo's old consoles, they were so sturdy, so when your mom walked over the wires and got her feet trapped, she'd bring the whole thing down, but it would still work.
Wireless!!!!!!

Open your eyes man, your just feeding the coorperate fire brother. Here you have Microsoft, owned by Bill Gates himself, the richest man on the planet in some eyes, and your giving him more money? Buying a wireless controller for $70 (when they first came out, prices vary), and the standard batteries that came with the controller only lasted 3 days, and I've tried every other battery and they usually lasted about only 1 day. The average price of batteries here costs anywhere around $5 for a pack of 4. So then, after realizing this just isn't gonna work, we're told that there is a battery charger, which costed $20. Yes it works alright, but guess what most people didn't know at the time? There is a way to use your X-Box 360 controller on the PC (without buying special programs). But guess what happens when you try to hook your battery charger to the USB port on your computer, then go trough Install Wizard and set everything up? NOTHING. Come to find out, Wireless controllers with the battery charger DO NOT classify as a wired controller, so the computer only recognised it as a charger, therefore: IT'S NOT COMPATIBLE WITH A PC. And not to meantion, when you use the controller to turn on the game (which takes forever I might add), it's a random toss up of which controller is going to be 1st player. But this seems a little bias ay? Well heres where people like you come into play. Because you, and other people who think the same way, Microsoft limited the production of wired controllers, therefore not many places had them. So people like me couldn't find wired controllers and had to go through all this mess. Everyone gets so hyped up about wireless components, new texting phones, and social networking/blogs, GIMME A BREAK. The whole world is retarded for all I care. Heres where it boils down to, the basic breakdown of the original question. Whats better, wired or wireless. Wired- Computer compatibility-Yes, Wireless-No. Wired-Cheap, Wireless- Expensive, Wired- no batteries, Wireless- needs batteries and or battery charger kit, Wired- works no matter what, Wireless- objects can obstruct signal, Wired- Recognises player values, Wireless- Random player value. The only thing good about a wireless controller is the fact you can use it from a farther distance than a wired controller, which is utter stupidity because how far do people really have to be to play a game? What is the real perpose of having a wireless controller is my question.
