They're Locust that die in sunlight, so they rule the night. They come out of their underground caves and fly around looking for anyone who is walking around in the dark and eat them. They only way to avoid them, to repeal them, is to walk around in lighten areas. The level is full of propane tanks and there is one area when you have to take control of a search light so that you can shine it on Dom while he walks over to the other side of the street and turns on the lights. It's not a hard level at all, you just have to look really hard for the lights. Don't attempt to run from one lighten area to another if its not a one second run, and it's not an indoor area, because they will eat you instantly.Hope that explained it. Enjoy Gears of War.
well Damian pretty much explained it, but heres a tip also man, next time just listen to wat the game is saying so u no wat to do and u won't get stuck

Yes exactly. The soldier chatter especially from Dom is supposed to inform you.
But now that I think back, when you get to this point of the level, doesn't the camera automatically pan up to the spotlight to give you the idea of where to go?
